Workshop: Springtime Flowers & Much More!
Capture the luscious beauty of flowers fresh from the garden or delve into still life, landscape, or portraiture! This “Springtime Flowers & Much More!” 2-day painting and drawing workshop is part of my "Welcome to My Studio!" series which takes place in my studio and gardens. This setting provides optimal access to all of my painting supplies, props; and, at this time of year, an abundance of flowers! In this intensive workshop, you will learn how to: achieve rich realistic colors of nature while painting convincing form; control values for powerful impact; set up dramatic lighting and backgrounds; learn tricks for staging objects for compelling compositions; get objects to pop and shine, and much more!. Enjoy painting demonstrations and group camaraderie!
The class size is small so everyone receives ample quality attention tailored to individual interests. You may develop small paintings or drawings; or choose a challenging “marathon” approach with exercises that will push your awareness to new levels. Each class includes useful handouts specific to your focus of study and goals; plus a “Next Step Plan” to further your studies after the workshop. All levels of experience are welcome! Take your paintings and drawings to the next level! Basic drawing supplies or painting supplies are sufficient. If you don’t have any supplies—refer to the supply lists keeping in mind that only a minimal amount of basic supplies can provide for years of learning! Be sure to bring a sack lunch. Tea and coffee are served along with baked treats. If coming from out of town, click here for sightseeing opportunities in the Brandywine Valley! I look forward to drawing and painting with you!
